Lea and Donny starting 8th and 7th grades. Don't they look thrilled? And big news from Debbie - she finally lost a front tooth! And started 2nd grade. She's in a homeroom that is funded this year by a grant for technology. Her class is just 16 students and each one gets to use an iPad. They have laptops to go around. They have digital cameras. They will also receive Mandarin Chinese language and culture instruction 4 days a week; all while doing all the normal 2nd grade stuff. The kids were chosen by lottery for a spot and Debbie got in.
